Bespoke African Safari Pricing Guide

The Honest Answer

Every Safari Is Different.
Every Quote Is Honest.

Gorilla permits. Lodge grades. Group size. Fly-in or drive. These are the real variables that set the price, and we lay them all out so you know exactly what you are paying for before you commit to anything.

The most common question we get is: "How much does a safari cost?" The truthful answer is that it varies enormously, from a focused 5-day gorilla trek to a 16-day multi-country private expedition.

What we can promise is that every quote we give you is fully itemised. You will see exactly what you are paying for: accommodation, permits, transport, guides, park fees. No mystery margins.

The price ranges below are indicative starting points per person, based on double occupancy in mid-range accommodation. Get in touch for a precise quote for your specific trip.

Factors That Affect Price

Permits
Gorilla permits alone cost $800–$1,500 per person, a fixed government fee that goes to conservation.
Accommodation Level
Budget lodge, mid-range, or premium tented camp: this is the biggest variable in your total.
Duration & Destinations
More days and more countries mean more experiences and more cost.
Group Size
Solo travellers pay more per person than couples or small groups (transport cost shared).
Season
Peak season (June–September) lodges cost more. Shoulder season offers great value.
