Day-by-Day Itinerary

Arrive in Nairobi, a microcosm of the African continent and the capital of Kenya, which serves as your gateway to a dramatic procession of natural spectacles here and across the border in Tanzania. You are met and transferred to your hotel to rest before the journey begins.

You drive from Nairobi to Amboseli, iconic safari country where impressive herds of elephant roam freely in the shadow of snow-crested Mount Kilimanjaro. The drive showcases East Africa's soaring natural beauty, and after lunch you head out on a game drive through woodland, swamp and scrub in search of the park's stunningly rich biodiversity.

Set out on early morning and afternoon game drives, crisscrossing the landscape in search of the park's large herds of elephant, along with zebra and wildebeest, on the salt-pan trails. Countless bird species call its swamps and wetlands home, while opportunistic predators roam the plains beneath Kilimanjaro.

After a relaxed breakfast you begin the road transfer to Arusha in Tanzania. On arrival you check into your hotel for relaxation and an overnight stay, poised at the gateway to the northern safari circuit.

After breakfast you transfer by road to Tarangire with an en route Maasai community visit. On arrival at your lodge inside the park, you enjoy an afternoon game drive with your private guide among Tarangire's famous elephant herds and ancient baobabs.

A full day is spent exploring the amazing Tarangire National Park on morning and afternoon private game drives, tracking elephant, lion, giraffe and a wealth of birdlife across the park's diverse habitats.

After breakfast at leisure you depart for Ngorongoro with an en route Mto wa Mbu village experience, before continuing to your lodge on the highlands with its cool air and sweeping views over the conservation area.

After breakfast at the lodge you descend to the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive with a packed lunch, encountering its extraordinary density of wildlife including the Big Five within this natural amphitheatre.

After breakfast you transfer to Manyara airstrip for your scheduled flight to Grumeti airstrip. Met by your driver-guide, you transfer to your lodge in the western Serengeti and enjoy an afternoon game drive.

A full day on morning and afternoon game drives explores the beautiful landscapes and wildlife of the Grumeti region, one of the Serengeti's most exclusive and rewarding corners.

After breakfast you are transferred to the airstrip for your scheduled flight to Fanjove Island. On arrival you are received and transferred to your resort for check-in, with the rest of the day at leisure beside the Indian Ocean.

A day to relax at the resort and enjoy optional activities, from snorkelling the coral reefs to a dhow sail, or simply unwinding on the powder-white sand of this private island.
