Day-by-Day Itinerary

On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you are welcomed by your private safari guide and driven in a comfortable 4x4 to Tarangire National Park, through some of Tanzania's most picturesque country. After settling into your luxury lodge or tented camp, an afternoon game drive introduces you to Tarangire's celebrated elephant herds, giraffe and abundant plains game among the ancient baobabs. For those who wish, an optional night game drive offers a rare glimpse of the park's nocturnal world, before a gourmet dinner beneath the African sky.

After breakfast you set out for a full day in Tarangire, renowned for its density of wildlife and unspoiled beauty. Morning and afternoon game drives venture deeper into the park, with fine chances of predators, plains game and a wealth of birdlife. For a cultural counterpoint, you may visit the lively village of Mto wa Mbu for a guided walk, a tuk-tuk ride through its streets and a home-hosted lunch, before returning to your lodge for a fine dinner.
