7 Days Mount Elgon Adventure In Uganda
The 7 Days Mount Elgon Adventure In Uganda follows the Sasa Route to the summit of Wagagai Peak (4,321 m), the highest point in Eastern Uganda and an extinct volcano that once rivalled Kilimanjaro in size. The route runs through montane forests alive with colobus monkeys and Elgon endemics, through heath zones of giant lobelias and groundsels, to the rim of the world's largest volcanic caldera. Nights at Mude Cave Camp deliver a true wilderness experience under the stars.
After the descent, the adventure transitions to Sipi Falls, three cascading waterfalls in the Mount Elgon foothills with sweeping views of the plains below. A guided coffee plantation tour introduces you to Uganda's prized Arabica coffee from cultivation to cup, with the Sabiny community as your hosts. The combination of serious mountain trekking and cultural depth makes this one of Uganda's most rewarding off-the-beaten-track journeys.
