On arrival at Kigali International Airport you are warmly welcomed by our representative, assisted with arrival formalities and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, relax and enjoy Rwanda's renowned hospitality or explore Kigali at your leisure.

After breakfast you journey north through Rwanda's breathtaking countryside towards Volcanoes National Park, enjoying views of terraced landscapes, vibrant villages and the majestic Virunga volcanoes on the horizon. On arrival at your lodge the remainder of the day is at leisure, soaking in the spectacular mountain scenery in preparation for tomorrow's encounter.

After an early breakfast and a briefing, you set off with experienced guides and trackers into the forest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family, the trek through bamboo forest and volcanic terrain rewarded with a magical hour in their company. Later you visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund for an insight into the conservation efforts securing the future of Rwanda's gorillas.
